Ahotu Launches Fitness Racing as a New Sport Category

The addition gives athletes worldwide a single place to discover, compare, and register for fitness racing events, starting with more than 60 HYROX races across nearly 30 countries.

Ahotu, the global endurance event discovery platform operated by World's Sports Group (WSG), has announced the addition of Fitness Racing as a new sport category on its platform. The category brings hybrid, functional fitness competitions, led by HYROX, the world's fastest-growing fitness race, into Ahotu's global event calendar alongside running, cycling, triathlon, trail running, and other endurance disciplines.

Fitness racing events combine running with functional workout stations such as sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, and burpee broad jumps, and has grown rapidly in popularity among competitive and recreational athletes alike over the past several years. With today's update, athletes can now search, compare, and plan their fitness racing calendar on Ahotu the same way they already do for marathons, gran fondos, and triathlons.

At launch, the new category includes more than 60 HYROX events listed across close to 30 countries and six continents, with additional editions and race formats being added on a rolling basis as the sport continues to expand into new cities.

For race organizers, the new category extends Ahotu's existing event discovery and registration capabilities to the rapidly growing fitness racing market. HYROX affiliates and independent fitness race organizers can now showcase their events to Ahotu's global audience of athletes, making it easier for participants to discover upcoming races, compare events and access registration information in one place. The newly added category gives organizers access to the same event visibility and registration infrastructure already used by tens of thousands of endurance events on the platform.
